Call the Midwife, BBC

This is a brilliant show. It drew me in from the first episode. It is about a group of young women who work with nuns to deliver babies and provide neonatal care in the poor East End of London following World War II. The story comes from the memoirs of one young woman. The stories are plausible. There is a great deal of humanity and kindness along with doses of tragedy and comedy. I love the clothes of that period, so that is an added treat. The delivery scenes are so realistic. Sometimes I wonder how they manage to shoot them. If you like shows like Masterpiece Theater, give it a whirl.
